    Obtaining Visa and Letter of Invitation

If it is necessary for you to obtain a visa to attend this conference, you can find relevant information about the application process on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Letter of Invitation
All international visitors should check with his or her local consulate regarding visa and entry regulations for the Czech Republic, where the ICOVP-2011 Conference will be held. Visitors should take care of this well in advance of the conference date. If a letter of invitation is required as part of a visa application, a written request must be submitted to the Department of Foreign Relations of the Technical University of Liberec CONTACT

Both the following qualifications have to be met for such a letter to be issued:

  • You should be a participant of an official conference session, i.e., as, an organizer, chairing/ co-chairing, an author, a speaker or a registered visitor.
  • You should have paid the conference registration fee.

The Hotel Denisa is located 2 metro stops from Charles Bridge and the Old Town. The metro stop is just 200 metres away and the airport is reachable within 10 minutes. All the most important sights can be reached easily. The entire hotel was renovated in 2008 and offers comfortably equipped rooms featuring modern furniture, flat-screen satellite TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. There is an internet point in the lobby of the Denisa hotel available free of charge and wireless internet is available for free as well. Breakfast is included in the room rate.     Fee Payment
  • The conference fee can be paid only by bank transfer to the bank account of Technical University of Liberec.
  • Please ensure your payment reaches us by May 31, 2011 to guarantee your paper publication in the Proceedings
  • The payment instructions are sent to your email address
  • Please note, that the payment is identified by its variable symbol, so the variable symbol stated in the e-mail must be stated also in your payment
  • The proof of payment needs to be sent by e-mail to the conference secretary Ing. Bela Cerna bcerna@icovp.org
  • Participants from Czech Republic are requested to pay in CZK
  • Participants from foreing countries are requested to pay in EUR
  • Receipts will be handed out at the conference
  • The conference fee is 450 EUR - early payment before May 31. Only one presentation is covered by the conference fee. Authors will be charged an additional fee 150 EUR for every subsequent and accepted presentation
  • The proper use of IBAN and BIC codes assures low bank charges. If your transfer has been substantially reduced through bank charges you will have to pay the difference to the appropriate conference fee at the registration desk

All participants are requested to pay the conference fee 450 EUR
early payment by May 31, 2011 ) and 550 EUR after May 31, 2011

Organization Committee appologize for previous information about VAT arising from an amendment of the EU taxation law (valid from April 1,2011). International conferences were exepted from this amendment and VAT have to be paid by the Organizing Institution it means by Technical University of Liberec.

Only one presentation is covered by the conference fee. Authors will be charged an additional fee of €150 EUR for every subsequent  accepted presentation.

Participants who already paid the fee without VAT will pay cash the remaining amount at the conference desk.

  • WAIT = your abstract is waiting for an evaluation by the leader of section
  • IN PROCESS = upload your paper or its corrected version
  • COMPLETE = your paper was uploaded and waits for reviewers
  • IN REVIEW = paper is in the review process

ICOVP information system sends a number of important mails to participants (login data, password reminder, review request, informations about a paper status, call for a full-text uploading). Such messages can be identified as unwanted by some spam-filters. Please check your spam folder.
